 Hacking for DoD Innovation offers students the opportunity to work directly with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). During the semester, student teams are provided real-world national security problems sourced from DoD agencies. Through a series of stakeholder interviews and engagements, student teams develop a solution that addresses the actual needs of their DoD problem sponsor. The course will be taught by Brad Carson, former congressman from Oklahoma and Under Secretary of the Army.

 This lab tackles the state of early childhood systems in the Greater Charlottesville community. We will work with a network of large dollar private donors to study the scope of existing services, assist them in better understanding existing services, perceived gaps, and opportunities to leverage collective impact. Based on our work, these donors will invest upward of several million dollars to early childhood programs over the next 10 years.
