This seminar is part of a sequence of robotics courses. Students will read science fiction, watch movies that envision robotics futures, read and discuss the ethics of robotics and discuss the societal implications of their own work. The seminar will include guest speakers who are leading thinkers in robotics. There will be brief writing assignments that prompt students to analyze the decisions made in readings and movies and imagine alternative courses of action and their consequences.
