Elections & Policy aims to explore the intersection between how we perform elections and how we craft policy. The first half of the class explores institutions supporting elections include voting systems, electoral structures, information systems, funding, and civic education systems. The second half explores how elections directly and indirectly influence policy adoption, timing, and actor motivation. **This class will directly investigate policies that disproportionately impact people of color. We will investigate what anti-racist policy would look like with respect to our electoral system.
